New Year, New Goals,
Building One Strong Community
As we embrace the new year and set new health goals, it's important to remember that fitness is more than just exercise—it's about connection, support, and motivation. At the Greater Providence YMCA, we believe in the power of community, and research backs us up. Studies from the American Heart Association and the Mayo Clinic show that people who work out with others are more likely to stay consistent, push themselves harder, and achieve better results compared to those who work out alone.
Our Y offers an incredible variety of programs designed to support every aspect of your well-being. Whether you're looking to join a high-energy group exercise class like HIIT training, BodyAttack, or LES MILLS BodyPump, or prefer mindfulness-based classes such as Yoga, BodyBalance, and Pilates, or enjoy recreational sports leagues like basketball and pickleball, working out with others can provide accountability, motivation, and a sense of camaraderie that makes exercise more enjoyable and sustainable.
For those who may find group settings a bit intimidating, we encourage you to consider personal training. According to the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), individuals who work with a personal trainer see greater improvements in their fitness levels, receive personalized guidance, and develop a deeper understanding of their health and wellness needs. Our expert trainers provide one-on-one attention tailored to your unique goals and fitness level, helping you build confidence and see real progress.
To help you take the first step, we're excited to offer a special personal training promotion throughout February. Bring a friend or loved one and enjoy a one-hour personal training session for only $50. It's a great way to stay accountable while making fitness fun and engaging.
No matter your fitness level or preferences, we have something for everyone at the Y. Together, we can build a healthier, stronger community. Visit ymcagreaterprovidence.org to explore our programs and sign up today.
