A Message from the CEO
Dear Members,
One of the things I appreciate most about the Y is that our members are also some of our greatest ambassadors. You know firsthand what it means to have a place where your family can swim, exercise, learn, play, and connect with others.
This fall, I'm asking for your help introducing another family to the Greater Providence YMCA.
Through September 30, we are waiving the join fee for new Family Memberships. If you have a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member who has been thinking about joining, now is a great time to encourage them to give the Y a try.
Growing our membership matters for reasons that go far beyond numbers.
Membership revenue allows us to continue investing in the things our communities rely on every day. Pools and HVAC systems require ongoing maintenance. Gymnasium and studio floors need to be repaired and replaced. Exercise equipment needs to stay current and in good working order. At the same time, we want to continue expanding programs, supporting our staff, and providing financial assistance so that cost is not a barrier for families who need the Y.
The stronger our membership is, the more we are able to reinvest in all of those things.
So if the Y has made a difference for you or your family, I hope you'll consider sharing that experience with someone else. Sometimes a personal recommendation from a friend is all it takes for another family to discover what the Y can offer them.
