All Y locations are temporarily closed until the Governor and the Department of Health communicate is is safe to reopen. YMCA summer camps will begin June 29. See camp page for further details. Contact your local Y if you need to change your membership or camp registration status.
Y camps offer values-oriented, camper-centered programs that help children discover their talents and feel a sense of belonging. Our activities combine friendships, adventure, and personal growth, creating days as unique as each camper and memories that last a lifetime. We offer a range of camp experiences through our Y branches and Camp Fuller, including day camps, extended day programs, and overnight camp. We design and deliver creative programs that are based on YMCA values; caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We strive to nurture campers in a challenging and supportive environment where their safety and well-being are our priority. Your Child's Safety
The safety of every child is our highest priority. Our Y Staff is well-trained to ensure a secure, nurturing environment and that all activities are safe and age-appropriate for your child. Our staff is carefully screened according to state and local standards. We only hire staff that practice and support the YMCA philosophy and our values of Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, and Respect. You can be assured that every staff member is committed to providing each child a fun-filled, safe and rewarding Y Camp experience.
All YMCA of Greater Providence camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), the only independent accrediting organization in the country that reviews camping operations against strict quality standards. ACA-Accredited ® camps meet up to 300 standards for health, safety, risk management human resources, staff training, and camp transportation. The accreditation also requires a thorough review of program quality in all areas including high standards for all aquatic programs. For more information, visit acacamps.org.
