Warwick, RI – The Kent County YMCA is thrilled to announce the success of the Kent County Swim Challenge, which took place on October 27. This inspiring event exceeded its fundraising goal, raising $43,568 to support the Kent County Y’s Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance programs for youth, families, and seniors in need.
Swimmers of all ages participated by swimming laps, demonstrating their dedication to the Y’s mission and commitment to their community. The funds raised will directly benefit Kent Y’s financial aid programs, ensuring that more individuals and families have access to the Y’s life-changing services, including childcare, summer camps, and wellness initiatives.
“This year’s Swim Challenge surpassed all expectations,” said Karen Santilli, CEO of the Greater Providence YMCA. “We are incredibly grateful to the swimmers, coaches, donors, and sponsors for their unwavering support. The funds raised will make a significant impact in helping us continue to serve the families, seniors, and youth in our community, providing essential services to those who need them most.”
Special thanks go to the event’s Naming Sponsor, Holmes Disposal, and Silver Sponsors, Jade Manufacturing Company, Inc., Pariseault Builders, Inc., The Drury Family, The Keeffe Family, Greenwood Credit Union, Link Commercial Properties, LLC, and Precor. Their generous support, along with the collective efforts of swimmers and donors, made this event a resounding success.
