Barrington, RI – The Greater Providence YMCA is thrilled to announce the success of the Bayside Family YMCA’s Annual Golf Tournament, which took place on Monday, October 21 at the beautiful Rhode Island Country Club. This highly anticipated event brought together golfers and community members for a day of fun, competition, and charitable giving in support of the Bayside Family Y’s mission to strengthen the community.
Thanks to the generous support of participants, sponsors, and donors, the tournament raised nearly $75,000. The money raised will ensure that the Y can continue offering financial assistance to youth, seniors, and families in need, helping everyone in the community be able to thrive at the Y.
“Every year, our golf tournament demonstrates the power of our community coming together for a shared purpose,” said Karen Santilli, CEO of the Greater Providence YMCA. “This year, we achieved the highest fundraising total in the tournament’s history. The funds raised will have a direct and lasting impact on the families and individuals we serve, allowing us to continue our work of promoting healthy living, youth development, and social responsibility.”
The tournament featured over 100 golfers who enjoyed a day on the prestigious Rhode Island Country Club course, along with special contests and raffles. This year’s event was made possible by the generous contributions of our many Tournament sponsors and donors, including our Gold Sponsor, Malcolm Chase. The Greater Providence Y also extends its heartfelt thanks to the Bayside Family Y Branch Council for its invaluable support in planning and fundraising for the event.
As the YMCA continues to serve the Greater Providence community, the funds raised through this event will support families and individuals, helping them reach their full potential through the programs and services provided at the Bayside Family YMCA.
