Overview and Registration Forms
The West Bay Family YMCA strives to provide children with a variety of experiences that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Each child in the program is expected to grow developmentally in a socially diverse environment with other children. Children are encouraged to develop friendships and have fun. Our program model helps children build a positive sense of self-worth while helping others to see him/herself as a unique and valuable person. The curriculum framework used offers youth experiences in the following areas: arts and humanities, homework assistance, literacy, skill development, science and technology, social competency, service learning ideas, character development, and health and fitness. Youth are also encouraged to express their independence and individuality through various activities that reflect the YMCA’s Character Development values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
There are a variety of programs ranging from nursery school to middle school. Some of the programs include:
• Preschool Enrichment Program
• School Age ChildCare
• Middle School Program
