Prime Time/Babysitting

Welcome to Prime Time at the Bayside Family YMCA! We are proud to offer this essential member service, which is designed to allow the entire family to utilize the Y at the same time.

Prime Time is beneficial to children of all ages. It is a wonderful stepping-stone for young children taking their first steps toward independence. Children are able to adapt to their new environment at their own pace and with the encouragement of our Prime Time Staff. Prime Time teaches children important skills, such as sharing, patience and respect that come through interaction with other children. School-age children can seek help with homework or release some energy through sports, games and mat play. Prime Time also encourages children to explore their artistic talents through coloring, painting and other arts and crafts.

Parents are welcome to stay with their children in Prime Time and partake in this Y experience together.

It is our priority at the YMCA to offer a safe and positive environment for your children while encouraging our core character values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.

Kid’s Night Out New Pre Registration Information

Beginning June 4, 2010

In order to better serve our members, Kid’s Night Out is now offering pre registration only. By pre registering, you will avoid the hassle of waiting in line and avoid the aggravation of being turned away at the door. This new procedure will make the sign in process much quicker and easier. All you have to do is register and pay for your child at the front desk either in person or over the phone up to two weeks before the next Kid’s Night Out, just as you would for any other paid program we offer at the YMCA. Registration will end at 3:00 on the night of Kid’s Night Out and there will be no walk in registration allowed. Kid’s Night Out is held every even numbered Friday. Members are $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the same household and $30 for non members and $10 for each additional non member child in the same household. Summer hours which begin July 2, 2010 are 6:00-9:00pm and Fall hours will be 6:15-9:30pm.
