The YMCA is a worldwide fellowship of YMCAs in 124 countries. global YMCA movement is at work in more than 120 countries and serves the diverse needs of 45 million people. In many communities around the world, YMCAs are the driving force for positive change in difficult social, economic and political situations.
The YMCA of Greater Providence has a formal relationship with the YMCA in Armenia and the Dominican Republic.
Every year, YMCA of the USA coordinates the YMCA World Service campaign to raise awareness of and financial support for the powerful work of YMCAs worldwide. Contributions are given as grants to overseas YMCAs for the development of programs that address critical needs.
