All camp staff are committed to providing children with an

consist but not limited to: Child Abuse Prevention, behavior management,
CPR/First Aide and Site/Program specific trainings. Our Camp and
trainings have been approved by The American Camping Association our

At Camp Broad Rock, EVERY CAMPER participates in fun and engaging games and activities throughout our six Core Rotations:
Color Games are team challenges and activities that the entire camp participates in every Friday. We arrange campers into teams by ast name and designate a team color corresponding to our four core values and their associated colors: Red (Caring), Blue (Honesty), Yellow( Respect), Green (Responsibility).
Then, we allow for team preparation time, where the staff lead ice breaker games and team-building activities to prepare for the weekly camp-wide Color Games challenge. Sometimes the weekly challenge is a giant tug-of-war… other times it’s a camp-wide scavenger hunt -- the possibilities go on and on! The team that displays the most of our core values and works together, while maintaining sportsmanship and team spirit, will be victorious!
We celebrate the weekly games with our Camper and Counselor of the Week Awards followed by a camp-wide pizza lunch. Friday afternoons are full of choice-based programs and activities for the remainder of the camp day.
Campers must provide their own transportation to and from the South County YMCA and pack a cold lunch with a morning and afternoon snack. Fridays we provide a pizza lunch and healthy snack, but request you still provide a morning and afternoon snack.
Please remember the person who is picking up your camper must be listed on the application form and must present Photo ID.
Children will not be released to anyone who is not on the authorized
pick-up list and present a photo ID. The camp office must be notified
in writing as to any changes to the authorization list.
We operate rain or shine. If raining, most activities will run in
sheltered area around the camp; we use the indoor facilities of the YMCA whenever possible.
We ask that campers come prepared for
inclement weather when needed, as they will have to walk the camps
grounds to get from activity to activity.
